Client Data Operations Analyst, London

THE ROLE

We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as our client base accelerates. The Client Data Operations Analyst ensures client SSI data is accurate by using SSImple's automation tools and verification engine. Accuracy is paramount: the data SSImple has verifies is used to drive billions of dollars in settlement activities across the market.

The role blends settlements knowledge, technology awareness, and data expertise. You will use these skills to configure our automation tools to transform incoming data and create verification rules to generate accurate results from the SSImple rules engine. The Client Data Operations Analyst works directly with clients to onboard them to our services, support the cleansing of their SSI data, and assist when issues arise. You will develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise in SSIs, benefiting both clients and SSImple's growth.

As a growing organisation, you will also help shape the role and function as we continue to scale.

ABOUT YOU

You enjoy working with others and are motivated to go the extra mile to help clients achieve their goals. You will work directly with well-known financial institutions to onboard them to the service, so strong client-facing, analytical, and communication skills are essential. You also enjoy working with data and value the importance of automation in driving change in the finance industry.

You are self-motivated and able to work independently, proactively learning about our industry. You thrive in a fast-evolving environment and are comfortable with the opportunities and challenges that start-ups embrace. We are nimble, responding rapidly to the needs of our clients, and you want to play your part in this. You are flexible, proactive, and willing to get involved to drive the service forward. You can think and act independently to ensure our clients have an excellent experience with SSImple.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work internally and with clients to ensure data processed across our services is 100% accurate by managing, updating, and verifying clients' SSI data.
  • Use strong Excel skills to analyse data and configure SSimple's data extraction and transformation layer (Xceptor) to automate data processing.
  • Take ownership of data issues, working and communicating clearly with clients to resolve them.
  • Provide first- and second-line support for the service, proactively monitoring performance and investigating issues, working with clients and colleagues to analyse and resolve root causes.
  • Develop SSI subject matter expertise across our product suite, including functionality, data structures, workflows, verification and manipulation rules, and industry standards.
  • Support the product team with functional testing of new releases, and create documentation to support client usage where required.
  • Support sales in client demos by providing expertise in product workflows and data structures.
  • Define, implement, document, and follow processes to ensure operational consistency and efficiency, working with others to optimise data operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support broader operational initiatives that help SSImple grow.
  • Proactively identify areas for product and operational improvement, working with the team to deliver enhancements and improve client satisfaction.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Logical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure, both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Strong organisational skills, a self-starter mindset, and a "can-do, will-do" attitude.

Desirable (training will be provided):

  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, SSIs, or Xceptor.
  • A numeric or analytical degree is preferred, but a passion for working with data and automation is more important.

BENEFITS

The role is UK-based with the ability to work remotely initially, moving towards 1-2 days a week in our London office in the future; we believe face-to-face collaboration is essential to building the best team to drive SSImple's growth.

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience).
  • Opportunity to work in a rapidly growing Fintech startup.
  • Remote working flexibility.
  • Potential for career progression as the company expands.
